As PCHS gears up for the new election season, your SGA candidates are eager to meet and represent each one of you! Read a little bit about each candidate, what they have to offer, and get ready for a new year of student government!
Freshman
Vice President: Angel Garner
"Hi, I'm Angel and I'm in 9th grade and I'm running for vice president. I picked this because it's not the lowest thing to do but also the highest and it also seems like a good position for me and my talents. Another reason why I picked this is because I really want to see a change in the school so I feel like it would be great if I could make that happen. I also want to start seeing more people involved and not feel alone."
Sophomore
Vice President: Elliot Sampson
"Hey PCHS! My name is Elliot Sampson, and I am running for the position of vice president of the sophomore class. Being vice president is not just about holding the title, it is about contributing and doing what is best for our school. I ask for your help to bring my focus to life, like offering opportunities to the student body, and to also make this a great school year!"
Historian: Layla Pernell
"Hi, My name is Layla Pernell, I am a sophomore and I'm running for Historian! I am running for Historian because I would like to better share students and my ideas to the council, and to be a leader inside and outside of our school and community. I am a cheerleader and I am excited for the opportunity to preserve our high school memories and Pamlico's proud history! Thank you for all your support!!"
Treasurer: Kamryn Eastwood
"Hey! I'm Kamryn, I'm in 10th grade and I'm running for SGA Treasurer. I've been a treasurer for Beta Club and SkillsUSA. I also did SGA in my 9th grade year, I was secretary! I am so excited to see what this year brings"
Represensitive: Dawson Force
"Hello, my name is Dawson Force I am in 10th grade and I am running for sophomore representative. I love hanging out with friends and family and I love going to the beach. I am looking for to this year in SGA!"
Representative: Danica Mogey
"Hi, I am Danica Mogey and I am in 10th grade. I love the beach and spending time with friends, and my favorite color is pink! I am running for representative, I wanted to try out a new group and SGA seemed like a good one to be in."
Representative: Bailey Bryant
"Hi, my name is Bailey Bryant and I’m running for representative. I don’t really know why but it’s something to do. I like sleeping and the color pink."
Junior
Vice President: Brylea Hardison
"Hi! I’m Brylea, and I’m a junior. I’m running for vice president of my grade and I hope to make people love SGA! I want them to see that it’s not boring, it’s a way to make your wants heard!"
Historian: Cate Bennett
"My name is Cate Bennett. I am a junior here at PCHS and I am running to be the new SGA Historian!! I'm running for this position because I am passionate about history and preserving the actions we take and the memories we make now for future generations!!! I find that being historian is an incredibly important position and I would love to fulfill that."
Treasurer: Ava Buck
"Hi, my name is Ava, and I’m in 11th grade. I’m running to be your next SGA Treasurer because I believe our school deserves a budget that works for everyone. Vote for me, Ava, and let’s make every dollar count!"
Senior

"Hi my name is Audri Leon and I am running for Senior representative!! I am in 12th grade so senior year!! I enjoy spending time with friends, doing things in rotc, and having fun. I am running for representative because I love to show school spirit and be able to represent my grade!"
