Hello, PCHS! And, Merry Christmas! I hope everyone has done well as we make it through these final few days before break! Are you excited? I know I am!
As we have passed through these finals weeks of December, the Theatre department has put on their show ‘A Partridge in a Pear Tree.’ I, myself, have heard people talk about it even before the show had been played out. So, I am here to share the opinions of our fellow students and staff.
What was your opinion on the play?
Micah Rodriguez: "I honestly thought it was pretty good. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but I took a chance because I had a friend in it, and I thought it was really good!"
Genevieve Toler: "I thought it was quite wonderful!"
Mya Klein: "I thought the play was very entertaining, I thought everyone did a great job!"
Mrs. Lansche: "I thought the production was very cute. I loved that each individual had their scene and had their own part– not just having one main person. Everyone got to stand out equally/highlighted."
Catherine Lackey: "I loved it."
Do you have a favorite part? If so, what was it?
Mrs. Lansche: "I think my favorite part was the cheese skit. There were just a lot of funny puns used in that one, I just thought that was cute."
Genevieve Toler: "My favorite part was the baking scene."
Micah Rodriguez: "I liked the part where Brooklyn Franklin squeezed the piping bag and it got everywhere."
Catherine Lackey: "The cheese part was my favorite because of all the cheese puns."
Mya Klein: "My favorite part was when Tory was running on stage and then at the end, he went up and he went ‘Turtles!’ while doing the anime face."
Do you think it set a good example for what Christmas can be all about?
Catherine Lackey: "I do think so. It was all about family and coming together at the end."
Mya Klein: "I do think it set a good example– it really displayed how family is such a big part of the holidays, and how we have to be grateful for what we have."
Mrs. Lansche: "Yeah! I think overall the theme was really good."
Genevieve Toler: "Yes. Whenever a problem would happen, it would get solved."
Micah Rodriguez: "Honestly with all the small little lessons we could’ve picked up from it, I think it was a really good way to learn some good lessons about Christmas."
Would you recommend people seeing more of their shows in the future?
Mya Klein: "I would definitely recommend it. They’re great, they’re very entertaining, they’re so much fun."
Micah Rodriguez: "I do recommend that people see more of the shows because what they do is amazing and they put a lot of hard work and effort into what they do."
Catherine Lackey: "I do recommend it!"
Genevieve Toler: "Yes!"
Mrs. Lansche: "Yes. I love our Theatre production. They’re fantastic!"

Thank you! And, have a great Christmas Break! See you all in 2026!
