Pamlico County High School's Youth and Government delegation recently returned from an exhilarating four-day conference in Raleigh, NC, where our students got to learn about the importance of civic engagement and interact with over one thousand passionate young adults from across the state.

Over ten of our very own attended this conference, and each one had a vital role aimed at moving democracy forward. Junior, Cate Bennet, served as a budget analyst. Junior, Ehren Rolle, served as a lobbyist. Sophomores, Edgar Muro and Jake Willis, accompanied by junior Brylea Hardison, worked together to present a passionate bill. Senior, Coralene Ellis, served as a photographer on the state media team. And, junior, Quamori Miller, served as the photography editor for this year's session.

Over the course of four days, our delegates voted on hundreds of bills, presented dozens of times, and gained firsthand experience working with state legislation. We are so proud of all of our delegates and are excited to see what's coming next!
