High school is a pivotal time in any person's life. Taking up a four year time period, your high school experience will change so much from the beginning to the end. You'll gain more freedom, grow in different ways, experience new things. Most high school students have similar schedules, and leaving that will be exhilarating for some and anxiety-inducing for others. So we asked seniors how they felt about having less than one full week left of their high-school experience.

  • "It's definitely bittersweet because I know it's like my last time being in the same school as all my friends, so that's kind of sad but also exciting." - Shelby Mehring

  • "I'd say that it's pretty bittersweet knowing that you're probably not going to see most of the people here again, but I also am really excited for the next chapter in my life and my friends' lives, and seeing how we're all going to grow." - Peyton Robinson

  • "It's definitely a little like nostalgic. I feel like I've been walking these halls with my four best friends for four years and it's about to end. But I'm excited for the next journey." - Patricia Pickard

  • "I'm feeling lit AF. F stands for frick. Um, you know, I've been here for four years or something like that. And, you know, I'm kind of a little bit sad that it's finally coming to an end. I just, you know, it's a bittersweet moment. - Annie King

So, upon graduation, you may feel many different ways. But though it may be sad to leave behind your life for the past four years, the best is always yet to come.
