As the 2024 presidential election approaches, many Americans are left wondering which candidate will be the future president of the U.S. Rural communities like ours are a crucial part of the election, so understanding what the next generation of voters plan to do will give us a better idea of how rural communities will impact the upcoming election. After conducting a survey and determining not only what candidate will have our communities vote but also the resource and context as to why we created a visual to present our findings.

According to the survey results, most students would vote for Donald J. Trump and J. D. Vance as president and VP and have main concerns for the economy and immigration. The students who would vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz as president and VP have main concerns for women’s rights and education. The survey also found that most students get their news from parents, social media, and news platforms like CNN or Fox News.
