The wait is finally over. Season 5 Volume 1 of Stranger Things has officially aired, and the return is better than ever. Dropping on November 26th, Volume 1 of the newest season manages to be both a heartfelt reunion and a horrifying evolution of the battle against Vecna and the Upside Down. With only 4 episodes out, I am confident that this season will come out to be a perfect 5/5 stars in my book.

From the first scene, it is clear that the Duffer Brothers haven’t missed a beat. The character evolution we witness within minutes is a kind of sentiment only a small number of series have managed to capture. Seeing all of our favorite characters interact after all of these years provides a powerful emotional weight to the narrative.

Then, of course, it wouldn’t be Stranger Things without its soundtrack. This season's incorporation of music, however, is arguably the best yet. Perfectly setting the tone for every scene. Songs like “Rockin’ Robin” by Michael Jackson and “Upside Down” by Diana Ross make music more than just a background noise, but a vital part of the story.

Overall. Stranger Things 5, Volume 1 was far beyond what I expected. It was emotional, thrilling, and visually rich. This season reminds me of why we fell in love with this series to begin with. I look forward to watching the next volume, and I’ll see you again then!
